I live around where Rio grew up and he gives a lot of money to little charities around here and always insists in no publicity. Kanoute did the same in East London when he was at. West. Ham. There are some footballers who are good people, he is one of them.

This is sad news. Football "mercenaries" exist in the world over. But to lose your wife and mother to your children in mid 30s is tough for all.
Maybe Rio will now re-evaulate his Twitter spats. @WHUFC academy. I wish Rio peace.

Terrible for him and his young family and obviously her family and freinds too.
May she rest in peace, i actually had a few tears about this I do not know his wife but Rio whatever we think has been around a long time so it feels like i almost know him, sounds silly but that is how i feel.
Horrid disease that has affected my own family too.
I wish them strength and togetherness in these very difficult times God help them.
